Privacy Policy

Effective Date: [DATE]

IV Ocean Therapy, a DBA of Island Medical Group ("IV Ocean Therapy," "we," "us," or "our"), is an integrative and regenerative medicine practice located in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii, serving clients across Oahu and Honolulu County. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website at ivoceantherapy.org (the "Site") or call our office.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact information you provide directly, such as your name, phone number, and email address, when you call our office;
  • Information you share with us by phone or in person about your health, wellness goals, and the services you're interested in;
  • Health information collected as part of your consultation and care, which is handled consistent with applicable healthcare privacy laws and our internal safeguards (see Section 4 below); and
  • Technical and usage information collected automatically when you visit our Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring website.

Our Site does not include an online lead-capture form. Any personal information we collect through the Site comes from a phone call you initiate to our office; health information is collected separately, as part of your in-person or telehealth consultation and care.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests for information about our services;
  • Schedule and provide consultations and the services you request;
  • Communicate with you about your inquiry or care, including by phone or text message, consistent with the consent described in Section 3 below;
  • Maintain records required for medical, business, and compliance purposes; and
  • Improve our Site and our services.

3. Communications Consent, Calls & Text Messages (TCPA Disclosure)

Because our Site does not include a lead-capture form, any calls or text messages between you and IV Ocean Therapy happen because you called our office directly and provided your contact information to us during that conversation.

By providing your phone number to us and agreeing to be contacted, you expressly consent to receive calls and text messages from IV Ocean Therapy at the number you provided, for purposes related to scheduling, service information, and follow-up communication. This consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from us.

Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Message frequency may vary. You may opt out of receiving text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us, or by telling us directly by phone that you would like to stop receiving communications. Reply HELP to any text message for assistance, or contact us using the information in Section 12 below.

We are not responsible for any charges, fees, or delays imposed by your wireless carrier related to calls or text messages you receive from us. Message delivery is subject to the terms and limitations of your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.

We retain records of consent and communication history, including the date, time, and nature of your consent to be contacted, for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law and to resolve any disputes regarding consent.

4. Protected Health Information

As a medical practice, IV Ocean Therapy maintains administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for health information consistent with applicable healthcare privacy laws. This general Privacy Policy governs our website and general business communications; it is not a substitute for our formal Notice of Privacy Practices governing your protected health information as a patient, which is provided separately and is available from our office upon request.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Laboratories, pharmacies, and other healthcare or wellness service providers involved in delivering the services you request;
  • Service providers who help us operate our business, under obligations to protect your information; and
  • Government or regulatory authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

6. Cookies & Website Analytics

Our Site may use standard cookies or similar technologies for basic website functionality and, if enabled, analytics purposes to understand how visitors use our Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, maintain business and medical records required by applicable law, and comply with our legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.

9. Your Hawaii & State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable state privacy laws. Where applicable, these rights may include the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information and access that information;
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format; and
